Hades 2 Ambrosia Guide - How to Bond With Gods in Hades 2

Hades is Hades, the God of the Underworld which is the place where people die. He was a cruel ruler and feared throughout the Ancient Greek world.

He loved his wife Persephone deeply. Her annual return to Hades was responsible for regulating the seasons. Her absence created harsh winters, but her return brought spring-like life.

Nectar

The primary method of affiliating yourself with gods in Supergiant Games' epic roguelike, Hades 2, is by giving Nectar to different characters from the Crossroads and Underworld. Nectar is an item that you can give away to be used to gain access to new dialogue with gods, increase your level of affluence with them by one and even get a Keepsake for each god when you gift them your first bottle of Nectar.

You can locate Nectar by presenting it to specific characters in the Underworld, such as Headmistress Hecate or by fulfilling Prophecies with the divine Boon gods. You can also obtain it through completing god-specific quests and sometimes, from the Wretched Broker of the House of Hades. Additionally specific god-specific Boons such as Sunken Treasure from Poseidon or Premium Vintage from Dionysus can drop it. Finally fishing in Elysium is a good method to get it.

When you've given an individual your first bottle of Nectar they'll offer to give you a Keepsake in return. Keepsakes are the remembrances of friendship with a specific character, will grant you several advantages in battle.

After giving a person their third or fourth bottle of Nectar, you'll unlock their Fated List prophecies, allowing you to grow your relationship with them by increasing the number of hearts shown on their index card. Beyond that, you can continue to give them Nectar in order to further your relationship with them and earn more Keepsakes.

The best part is that you can swap Keepsakes that you have outfitted between characters by accessing their cabinets located in the big room that houses Skelly the training dummy located in the House of Hades, next to your various weapons and accessories. You can also purchase the Keepsake Collection and the Regional upgrade from the House Contractor to allow you to switch your Keepsake between regions. This allows you to quickly change between your favorites and make the most out of every god you are in a good relationship with.

Ambrosia

You've probably heard that Nectar is a rare relative of Nectar is a great tool to build relationships with deities in the game of the godlike Roguelite Hades. But have you heard of Ambrosia which is a lesser-known cousin to Nectar that can be used for different uses? This guide will show you how to obtain this powerful resource.

Ambrosia was a mystical substance the Greek gods consumed or Oscar reys, www.oscarreys.Top, drank. It was believed to grant immortality to those who consumed it. It was also used to disguise foul smells. In the Odyssey for instance when Menelaus, his army, and the seal skins they were wearing were disguised the goddess carrying ambrosia came down from heaven to disguise the noxious smell.

Ambrosia, a food reserved for the Olympian Gods, was used in rituals as a way to differentiate between immortality and mortality. It also represented a symbol of divine perfection, as exemplified in the myth of Achilles who was anointed with ambrosia by his mother Thetis to make him immortal. He was mortal again in the end, because his heel had not been treated.

Ambrosia, as well as being drunk and consumed by the Olympian Gods, was also used to treat wounds or anoint bodies. In two myths, it was mentioned that Apollo utilized ambrosia on Sarpedon's body, and Thetis anointed the corpse of Patroclus. These stories could be meant to suggest that immortality is a gift that is able to be taken away as easily as given.

It is possible that the ambrosia was a hallucinogenic fungus named Amanita Muscaria. This would be a plausible explanation for the belief that it brought immortality, since it was a commonly used hallucinogen in the time of the ancient people.

Keepsakes

Keepsakes such as Ambrosia in Hades 2, are used to gain favor with gods. Supergiant Games This epic reimagining of Greek mythology includes some of the most powerful pantheon-building techniques in recent memory. The game lets you give Nectar to any god or npc as you fight your way through the Underworld and certain gods will reward you with a the gift of a Keepsake in return. These unique items offer useful buffs that make it much easier for Zagreus to escape the Underworld.

Keepsakes are, in contrast to Boons can be upgraded throughout several runs. This can be done by battling enemies in locations with the appropriate god's Keepsake attached or by going to the god's store at the Crossroads. Once the item's Rank is raised, it will give an additional benefit that can be activated during combat. Keepsakes are ranked up by the number of encounters defeated when they're attached, so they're a good way to gain a large increase in damage or healing during combat.

There are 16 Keepsakes in total, each with a unique benefit. If you're trying to survive in the Underworld it's a great option to prioritize your gifts. They're also an excellent alternative to the standard god's Boons If you don't want to wait for them to appear at the Rift of Thessaly or in a God Gate.

Some gods provide special keepsakes that require you to visit their shop in the Underworld. These include Charon who has an exclusive shop location in the Rift of Thessaly, and Sisyphus is located at the Merchant's Circle on one of the boats, or Medea which is located in the City of Ephyra. Hecate is another god that provides you with a Keepsake when gifting her Nectar in the city of Thebes, though hers can be tricky to find since she only spawns during combat above the ground.

For instance, Hecate's Keepsake lets the player automatically restore a portion of their magick each night up to a value determined by the Keepsake's Rank. It also reduces the amount of frontal damage taken by the player and does slightly more damage when attacking from behind.

Keepsake Keepsake

Hades also has other characters with which you can develop relationships (purely platonic, sorry). Gifting them bottles of Nectar may give them special abilities that will increase the power of Zagreus in his quest to escape the Underworld. These gifts are referred to as Keepsakes and they're one of the most important things in the game.

The way they work is easy every time you complete an encounter, you'll have a chance your character will get their Keepsake upgraded by three ranks or more. When the Keepsake reaches rank three, it will unlock an additional buff that can be used in the next encounter. Examples of these buffs include:

The Sigil of the Dead It increases Zagreus' God Gauge's default percentage at the beginning of an encounter. Also grants access to Hades Aid Call, which fills the gauge when activated. It can be enhanced by upgrading it but unquipping it in between levels resets God Gauge to zero.

Each god's Keepsake gives unique buffs which can be extremely useful in both the early and later stages of the game. Our recommendation is to grab the Cerberus Keepsake, Old Spiked Collar, as soon as possible in order to give your health a significant boost.

It's also worth picking up the rest of the gods Keepsakes whenever you can. The Arachne and Narcissus ones are especially good as they let you get the latest weapon in the beginning while the Poseidon and Megaera ones allow you to take on more damage when attacking from behind.
